Protein Poppers

14 Mar

As we all know, anything miniscule and round = eating obsessive amounts. Lets take a look. M&M’s, grapes, chocolate covered raisins, normal raisins, and these protein poppers. I noticed that small things generally mean you want to eat more . So, last night at 10 pm ( yes 10) I noticed that I was craving something small and round and chocolatey and peanut buttery.

See where were going with this?

Enter—> Peanut Butter Protein Poppers.

The line up:

  • 1/4 cup Peanut Butter (no salt/sugar added)
  • 1 tbsp Honey/Agave ( I opted for Honey and they were sensational)
  • 2 scoops protein powder ( approx 20 grams). I would say I put about 1.5 tbs but you can also opt for flax seeds/hemp seeds/ course flour if thats all you have.
  • 3 tbs oats
  • 1 tbs coconut flakes
  • 8 squares dark chocolate (85% +)
  • 1 tsp coconut oil

Directions:

Okay! So mix mix mix mix mix all of the above ingredients except the chocolate and coconut oil. Form into balls and place on a parchment lined baking sheet in the freezer. Wait 15-20 minutes or until they are solid.

Once they are solid, melt your chocolate with the coconut oil in a microwavable dish in 30 second increments. Once fully melted, dip the balls into the chocolate and place back on a baking sheet in the freezer to set.

Note: Easiest way to dip the balls is to grab a toothpick and stick it in the balls. Then dip the balls into the choco using the toothpick. Easy Peasy!

Enjoy poppin.
